The Deschutes National Forest just outside of Bend off China Hat Road continues to be a problem area for illegal trash dumping and general misuse. We are looking for volunteers to help clean-up this abused area, where we have tagged many dump sites in the forest.

 

Plan to meet in the large area at the base of Coyote Butte (map directions found below), where crew chiefs will lead small groups to the problem areas. While most equipment will be provided, please come equipt with gloves, shovels, trash bags and other tools you'd like for picking up trash. Kids are welcome, but need to be heavily supervised as we often find needles and other sharp objects at the trash sites. Food and beverages will be provided after the clean-up by New York Sub Shop!

 

Please use this sign-up form so we can best prepare for all who are coming. Also we are looking for people with trailers, specifically dump trailers. If that is you, please mark that you will volunteer and tow a dump trailer to help with transiting the trash to the city landfill.
