Call For: Vocalists | Dancers | Actors - 2024 Vaud-Villities Spring Show

Show Dates: May 3-5, 2024 @ Ohio Dominican University's Matesich Theatre
 
"A New Day, A New Year" - the songs of the seasons featured in a variety musical production
 
Vocals (solos + ensembles): if you are interested in singing a solo or ensemble, come prepared with 32 bar cut of a song of your choice. A good song would fit the theme of calendar/seasons to match the show. Accompanist provided. Bring sheet music or a digital (mp3/mp4) file to play on a bluetooth device. All vocalists interested in ensembles with movement will audition a short movement piece for the judges.
 
Vocals (chorus only): auditions required. Select any time slot and denote "chorus only" in auditions and someone will sing with you (if you would like them to). Song selection need not be complicated. Happy Birthday or Jingle Bells would work!
 
Dance: styles to be auditioned include musical theatre (jazzy), and optional styles: jazz (technical/fosse), lyrical, tap, and hip-hop. Wear appropriate dance/comfortable clothing and shoes.
 
Acting: there are various acting skits throughout the show. Come prepared to read from the script, no memorizing needed. Link to snippet of the script to read from at auditions.
