Volunteers needs: moving equipment, distributing water and snacks, and uniform checks. Click show more for volunteer job descriptions.

BEFORE SIGNING UP

  2. Visit roundlakemusic.com/volunteers and make sure you have completed the volunteer form for the school and any other necessary steps. You can still sign up, but the form needs to be submit a mininmum of 48 hours prior to the event.
 
Job Descriptions
 
Rooftop Prop Movers - We recommend that these volunteers be the same people at each game if possible. This prop is on wheels and is split in two. 4 people per piece will roll the prop from the parking lot onto the field. Instructions of where to place the prop will be printed on the back of the prop and one of the drum major will lead this team of volunteers to ensure that it is place properly. Movers should come down to the track by the band seating during the 2nd quarter. The props will already be pulled out and placed on the track. 
 
Podium Movers - These volunteers will roll out our drum major podiums and set them up at predesignated yardlines as the band takes the field and will collapse them and roll them off after our performance. This is needed for our pregame and halftime performances. Volunteers should be on the track by the band seating as the band marches in ready to set up for pregame and should come back down on the track by the band seating during second quarter to be ready for the halftime performance.
 
Water & Snacks - These volunteers will distribute water and snacks after the pregame performance and halftime performance as students come off the field. Water and snacks will be in the storage room. Volunteers will need to pick up ice on their way to the school to fill the coolers along with the water. For both sets of snacks, volunteers should grab something from our inventory that is more substance like a granola bar. Volunteers will need to move the water and snacks outside next to the band seating. There are carts to help move those items.
 
Uniforms - These volunteers should be in band room or music hallway as students are getting ready. As students change into unfirom, these volunteers are on hand to check the uniforms for any inconsistencies and any emergency repairs. A kti of supplies will be provided with saftey pins, thread and needle, etc. A checklist of what to look for will also be provided ahead of time.
